Position Summary

  • The Investor Recruitment Specialist is responsible for generating revenue through the recruitment of new investors for The Chamber of Southern Arizona. This role emphasizes strategic outreach, relationship-building, and consultative sales practices to connect prospective businesses and organizations with the value of The Chamber investment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is results-driven and goal-oriented, and effectively builds long-term relationships through value-based selling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive investor recruitment efforts to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Conduct new investor prospecting through research, cold calls, event follow-ups, member referrals, networking, and leveraging existing relationships.
  • Maintain a robust and up-to-date pipeline of qualified prospects; review progress weekly with the VP of Investor Relations.
  • Focus primarily on outside sales with frequent in-person prospect meetings.
  • Schedule and conduct investor presentations (in-person, virtual, or off-site).
  • Effectively articulate The Chamber’s mission, programs, and investor value proposition.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to align prospective investors’ needs with Chamber offerings.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals based solely on the official Chamber benefits outlined in the investment packet.
  • Process all applications in a timely manner, ensuring complete and accurate data entry in CRM (GrowthZone) A Chamber based platform.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with all membership and internal information.
  • Represent The Chamber professionally at events and networking opportunities, which may include mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Attend Chamber staff meetings, applicable committee and council meetings, and remain informed about Chamber programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain a positive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of proven success in outside sales, business development, and/or investor recruitment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, energetic, and goal-oriented.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook; comfortable using CRM platforms and technology tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to attend events outside regular business hours.
  • Familiarity with the Southern Arizona business community is a plus.

Compensation: Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience), plus uncapped commission and performance bonuses designed to reward your success. Includes a comprehensive and robust benefits package.
