Ambassadors
The mission of the Ambassador Committee is to educate, energize and empower all Chamber investors with the knowledge and the resources needed to be effective and engaged Chamber colleagues. The Ambassadors strive to ensure a best-in-class member experience so that all Chamber investors realize the value of their investment, promote collaboration for business growth and success and develop meaningful professional relationships. Ambassadors meet monthly and are an extension of Chamber staff to engage, celebrate and promote investors. These individuals you will find at mixers, ribbon cuttings and volunteering at events.

Eugene Carter
LegalShield – Independent Associate

Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Eugene Carter joined the United States Air Force directly after high school. He attended Air University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he earned a degree in Airway Sciences. Eugene served in the Air Force, completing his career in air crew operations at DMAFB in Tucson, Arizona. After the Air Force, Eugene stayed in Tucson and began working in the insurance industry as a Life agent, providing cemetery and funeral coverage. In 2004, he partnered with LegalShield Inc. and began providing families and businesses with legal and I.D. theft protection.
As a LegalShield Independent Associate/ Broker, Eugene is able to provide clients throughout the United States and Canada with affordable access to the legal and identity theft protection that we all need. “LegalShield provides access to attorneys, law firms, and licensed private investigators getting them real time help they otherwise might not be able to afford,” said Eugene. “That is just as true for individuals as it is for business owners. We provide that access at an affordable monthly rate instead of the high hourly rates most are subjected to.” What sets LegalShield apart from other protections is that his clients don’t have to suffer a tragedy to benefit from their services. In fact, by using their services, clients reduce the stress, cost, and frustration of various legal issues. Whether they’re writing or updating a will, addressing moving traffic violations, dealing with identity theft issues, or would like legal advice to include representation in court for personal or business matters. “I can focus on helping them get their legal issues taken care of while they focus on their normal daily affairs,” said Eugene.
When he is not working, Eugene enjoys reading, chess, and traveling. Eugene also volunteers with multiple local organizations by serving as a board member with Treasures 4 Teachers in Tucson, active member and past Chair of the Ambassador Committee for the Chamber of Southern Arizona. He previously volunteered as an instructor for Junior Achievement of Southern Arizona (K-12), and as a judge for several case competitions and interviews at the Eller School of Business at the University of Arizona.

Tamerlane Elie
DRI Restoration

My name is Tamerlane Elie. I’m currently the Business Development Manager for Disaster Restoration Innovation, Inc and I’ve been in this role since October of 2023. DRI is a residential/commercial General Contractor specializing in restoration, that started right here in Tucson, AZ, in 2018. As the BDM, my primary responsibility is to build and maintain new client relationships. As a member and Ambassador of The Chamber, and other key organizations, I am able to achieve that!
I absolutely love the opportunity and the advocacy that The Chamber of Southern Arizona provides to our region. Being a previous small business owner myself, I understand the challenges and pitfalls that Southern Arizona business owners and managers face on a daily basis. So, as an Ambassador with the chamber, I really enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to assist our current and/or future members, in understanding all of the benefits the Chamber has to offer. Not only something as simple as navigating our website or our Events Calendar, but also in making introductions to solid business connections that can help them grow their network and their business! I love being an Ambassador for The Chamber of Southern Arizona!
